Space Mountain Tips

  • Scary Factor: Dark, high-speed twists, turns, and drops can be thrilling but may feel intimidating for younger children or those uncomfortable with darkness. Does NOT go upside down.
  • Speed: Space Mountain reaches a top speed of 28 mph, but the dark setting amplifies the sense of speed.
  • Ride Duration: Approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
  • Drops: Features three mild drops, the largest being 26 feet, adding excitement without being overly intense.
  • Pregnancy Advisory: Not recommended for pregnant guests due to high speed, sharp turns, and jerky movements.
  • Accessibility: ECV users must transfer to a wheelchair and then to the ride car. Power wheelchairs are generally accommodated in accessible queues. Service animals are not permitted.
  • Sensory Advisory: Features sharp turns, sudden drops, bumpy sections, loud noises, lighting effects, and periods of total darkness.
  • Plus-Size Friendly: Seats may be snug due to the T-bar restraint and narrow design. A test seat is available at the ride entrance.
  • Best Age Group: Suitable for older children, teens, and adults who enjoy thrilling, dark coasters. Parents should assess younger children's comfort levels.
